Over de functie
As Junior Buyer Outlet, you support the Manager and Senior Buyer in building and managing product assortments for Outlet stores across Europe. This is a hands-on supporting role that requires a strong presence in the office, as a significant part of the work involves samples and product that you need to be there for.
A typical week looks like this:
- Monday is trade day, which the team works from home. You spend most of the morning pulling and preparing sales reports for the previous week using Excel and reporting tools. Afterwards, you analyse the results together with the team and discuss what needs follow-up.
- Tuesday through Thursday you are in the office. You sort and manage samples, pull product for meetings, and work closely with the Manager on assortment building. Being physically present on these days is a firm expectation.
- You maintain the buy file, support with presentations and forecasting, and keep product data accurate and up to date.
- You help prepare for investment reviews, hindsight sessions and weekly trade meetings, and work with colleagues across planning, allocation and visual merchandising.
- Friday is flexible depending on the week.
What we are looking for
You do not need formal buying experience. A background as a coordinator or in an office role within fashion is a strong starting point. What matters most is that you are ready to hit the ground running and do not need a lot of hand-holding to get started.
- At least 2 years of work experience in a coordinator or office role within the fashion industry
- Solid Excel skills at working level: pivot tables and VLOOKUPs are used daily in this team
- Experience with reporting tools such as SAP BW or HANA is a strong plus
- You take initiative, stay organised under pressure and are comfortable managing multiple tasks at once
- You are not shy: you know how to find the right people and follow up without being prompted
- Fluent English, both spoken and written
- A degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business or a related field is a plus, not a requirement
What you can expect
- A temporary position until 28 August 2026, full-time, 40 hours per week
- A gross monthly salary of EUR 4,000
- A role within a small, close-knit team at an internationally recognised fashion brand in Amsterdam
- A modern campus environment with weekly social activities
- A clear working rhythm: Mondays from home, Tuesday to Thursday in the office, Fridays flexible
- Direct involvement in live assortment work with impact on Outlet performance across Europe
